Kylee & Co is a community-led platform designed by disabled people for everyone. It focuses on sourcing and creating products that break down barriers and meet the real needs of the community. If one person is looking for a solution, Kylee believes others likely are too. That’s why Kylee & Co finds or creates solutions that benefit the whole community, from everyday accessibility tools to innovative products that empower independence.
Kylee collaborates closely with Clipboard Ltd, a business that shares her values of inclusion and empowerment. Clipboard Ltd is involved in improving accessibility and opportunities in various sectors. Together with her partner Mike, Kylee uses this platform to further their mission of creating a more inclusive, community-driven future.
Kylee spearheaded New Zealand’s first fully disabled-led conference, the Stronger Together Conference. This event was designed to break down financial and social barriers by offering free attendance and making the experience accessible for all. It featured sensory rooms, flexible seating options (from couches and bean bags to camp chairs and floor space), fidgets on lanyards, sign language interpreters, art spaces for neurodiverse attendees, and a variety of food options to cater to all needs. The conference embodied Kylee’s core belief that “we are stronger together.”
Kylee leads this group to support and empower disabled entrepreneurs. It’s about creating a network where like-minded business owners can collaborate, learn from each other, and share resources. Kylee’s leadership helps these entrepreneurs leverage their strengths and grow their businesses in ways that are meaningful and sustainable.
This initiative, led by Kylee, focuses on connecting disabled individuals with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. It’s about creating networks of support that enable people to live full, independent lives. Kylee’s commitment to this project stems from her belief that strong communities are built by connecting people and fostering mutual support.
Kylee founded and led the movement of The Soul Lounge at Festival One. This space was designed to be inclusive and accessible, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees to connect meaningfully. The Soul Lounge embodies Kylee’s dedication to creating environments that foster community, reflection, and support for everyone.
Kylee has been an active part of the Enabling Good Lives initiative in the Waikato, which focuses on transforming how disability support is delivered. Through her involvement, she has contributed to creating systems that give disabled people more control over their lives, empowering them to live with greater independence and dignity.
